29 SEPTEMBER 2009 FRANCIS CHAPELET CHECKS THE DOM BEDOS
Mr Francis Chapelet has checked the Organ, before the last Formentelli working session. This deep check ensures the committe about the quality of the work; Chapelet has followed the St. Croix Bom Bedos restaturation, and he reported about the high level of the Formentelli work; the italian artisan has created another true Dom Bedos in Rieti.

PINARDEL SESSION OFF LINE RECORDING
During last week end of August, Marc Pinardel was in Rieti again on order to finalize the 19 august concert off line recording. This allows a great audio material level, in order to obtain a better CD 5.1 product.

Reate Festival 2009 - Marc Pinardel in concert , 19 August 2009
Following the join between Committee St. Domenico and Foundation Flavio Vespasiano, within the Reate Festival 2009; Organ Concert by Marc Pinardel will be in St. Domenico on August 19, at 21:00; the first part will concern on classical authors, the second will be devoted to the improvisation instead, with a homage to the Italian composer Gioachino Rossini. Finally, Marc will play some improvisations with theme given by the public. They invites musicians and organists to participate and to eventually to prepare some theme.

4 May, 2009 - Agreement between Fondazione Vespasiano and S.Domenico Committee, wiht the supervisory of S.E. Cardinale Tarcisio Bertone and On. Gianni Letta

The St. DomenicoCommittee (ONLUS) and the Foundation Flavio Vespasiano has signed an agreement of mutual collaboration for the exchange of the potentialities and to valorize the use of the organ Dom Bedos-Roubo.
The Card. Tarcisio Bertone, Secretary of State Vatican, has met May 24 th 2009 the On. Gianni Letta (in the photo). Two delegations, one of the Committee St. Domenico, driven by Mons. Luigi Bardotti and a delegation of the Foundation Flavio Vespasiano accompanied by the Mayor of Rieti Giuseppe Emili, havee met Tarcisio Bertone, as honorary president of the Committee St. Domenico. This meeting has enacted an agreement among the two organizations. Dr. Carlo Latini has illustrated to S.E. Tarcisio Bertone the projects of the Foundation Flavio Vespasiano, whose first initiative will be the Reate Festival had foreseen since 16 to August 25. The first official concert of the Pontifical organ Dom Bedos-Roubo Benedict XVI will be held on 19, august. The On. Letta has underlined what great privilege both for the Foundation Flavio Vespasiano to have an agreement with the presence of S.E. the Card. Bertone. Gianni Letta has observed then that the future collaboration between the Foundation and the Committee St. Domenico, taking away the with such a precious organ as the Pontifical organ Dom Bedos-Roubo Benedict XVI and with the benediction of Your Eminence, it is born under the best auspices. The Card. Tarcisio Bertone has manifested his own satisfaction in to give hospitality in the prestigious room of the signatures in Vatican to a moment that enacts the collaboration among two organizations; this can valorize and to not only spread the culture to Rieti and in the Lazio but in the world, due to the importance of the Pontifical Organ Dom Bedos-Roubo Benedict XVI. The cardinal has remembered then as has followed the whole run of it, from the ideation up to the benediction; he wanted to underline as how much fact, included the miraculous recovery of the church of St. Domenico, is owed to a large extent to the tenacity and the determination of Mons. The completion of the organ foresees the jobs around 5° keyboard, the installation of the tremolo, a final regulation of the mechanics with relative tuning. Now the organ works with first 4 keyboards in dear way. The mechanics thas not asked for regulation some in the passage winter summer. A first tuning of the reeds is effected for the summer period. The mechanisms of the unions are really eeficent. The mechanics of the positiv organ is quick and light; it allows executions as a harpsichord. The organ has aroused enthusiastic comments from the organists that have visited till now and tried the tool

2 april 2009 - The committee St. Domenico collaborates with the Foundation Vespasiano: Marc Pinardel in Concert August 19 th 2009, within the Reate Festival

Yesterday, 2 April 2009, On Rieti townhall the first edition of the Reate Festival has announced from Carlo Latini, the techinical director of the event. Event will be in Rieti from 16 to 25 August 25. The program is rich of events, as introduced by the Foundation Flavio Vespasiano, recently constituted him to manage the cultural activities that will have to rotate around our splendidoTeatro Flavio. The Foundation, whose president is the on. Gianni Letta, has called to the guide of the scientific technical Committee the dott. Charles Latini that you/he/she has illustrated the program of the ambitious project. 2 aprile 2009 Organ work update
Bartholomeo Formentelli has finished all the registers of the 4 manuals, excluded the Echo (V keyboard). The jobs will take back fat the end of the month of July. So, the final testing is planned within August 2009.

The San Domenico Committe has joined the Vespasiano Foundation. First happenning will be held inside Reate Festival, a great musical event on August, 2009. The Dom Bedos will partecipate on 19 August with a great Organ Concert

The organ works will restart at end of may, with completation of V ECHO keybord.

3 Febrary 2009 - Comitato e B.Formentelli in Udienza presso S.E. Cardinale Tarcisio Bertone
On February 3, an representation composed from Saint Domenico Committee, Choral Aurora Salutis, Gospel Chorus and Barthelemy Formentelli was received in hearing from S.E. Tarcisio Bertone. During the cordial meeting, the Committee has thanked S.E. for the Benediction imparted to our tool during the ceremony of December 8 th 2008

28 January 2009 - Inauguration Event planning
The Instrumental inauguration of the great organ Dom Bedos Roubo was attended for September/October 2009. They still expect confirmations but the musical party (because of this he will treat) will be distributed within two weekends: the last of September and the first one of October. There will be about XII thematic concerts, 2 solemn mass with Organ and Choir, times reserved for free exhibition of organists, gastronomic popular places on the square near the Church. 2 Meetings with experts and musicians will be held. Barthelemy Formentelli continuous without standstill the long job of the intonation; thanks to the friendly collaboration of Francis Colamarino, the organ grows in the number of the available registers. For endless times, listening to the guttural ones and powerful Barthelemy's orders, coming from the Great Organ, Francis it stoically withstands on the console, sustained only by a compassionate electric heather; Formentelli is able to have worked since 8.00 at 23.00 to reach the completion of his masterpiece. Tonight (29 january, 2009) he has completed the first register of the IV keyboard (Recit): a suggestive 8' flute, that extends the range of sonorous colors of the organ Dom Bedos Roubo. The next register will be the cornet 5 rangs of the Recit. The pipe intonation job consists in the pipe mouths opening and pipe lenght regulations; about the reeds, the copper plates are cutted and preapared on site then the pipe reeds are controlled continuosly until the sound reachs the quality desidered from Bathelemy; finally the tuning of the reed complete the work. This job is repeated for more than 4000 operations...

3 January 2009 - "Anima et Corpo" Concert (Emilio de Cavalieri)
To honor the Christmas festivities, in St. Domenico a concert was held for representation of part of the work "Soul and Body" (Emilio de Riders, as well as' concert for choir and room orchestra with music of Pergolesi and Jordan. 2 interludes of organ devoted daFrancesco to the Christmas and the Faith Colamarino have been offered (Music of J.S. 31 Dicembre 2008 - Francis Chapelet "In Concert"

In occasion of the New Year, Barthelemy Formentelli has decied to works to Rieti on 31 December, too (!!). The friends and organists Francis Chapelet (photo here: "events") and Francis Colamarino will be to hold him company, and to play in the mass of December 31. At 18 in St. Domenico there will be musical moments offered by Chapelet and Colamarino on the organ Dom Bedos-Roubo (Improvisations, Te Deum with the Choral ensemble Aurora Salutis)

Dom Bedos visited from Padre Cerroni
During the Christmas festivities we have received the pleasant visit to the organ of Father Cerroni, that has appreciated the handicraft workmanship and the finish of the great manufactured article together with some brothers. We thank in the name of Father Cerroni the Committee All for the effected visit, renewing the invitation to completion of the jobs, to give way to his/her Father and the brothers to appreciate the organ to the full one of the sonority.

The Titular organist of Lourdes Jean Paul Lecot has honored us of one visit of his December 16 th 2008; during the visit, together Federico del Sordo one and Francesco Colamarino he has appreciated the organ Dom Bedos and he has longly tried the available registers; the intent is to see again us when the jobs will be finished, to try the full sonorities of the Dom Bedos. The organ Dom Bedos-Roubo is now introduced to the public during the festivity of the immaculate Conception on December 8. The solemn celebration, was celebrated by the Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Secretary of State Vatican, and' is followed by a thousand of people. Suggestive and unforgettable the image of the organ with its creator Barthelemy Formentell always near of its creature for all through the celebration. The organ has responded to the invocation of Mons.Luigi Bardotti with an improvisation of Marc Pinardel. Photo and Review are availableBenedizione Organo San Domenico Rieti - 8 dicembre 2008. The music for choir and organ, performed by the Choral Aurora Salutis directed by Alexander Nisio was really impressive. Although the ceremony has been of great duration, the public has again crowded the church over every imagination; this success was repeated after m when Marc Pinardel perform a short Organ concert. Over seven hundred people you/they have assisted to the executions of the French organist. Pinardel has finished the concert with two improvisations of great impact; one on the name Bach and the other on the name Bartholomeo. Despite the organ it had only two keyboards ready, a partial stuffing and two files of reeds, the effect was really good. The trompette "horizontal Bataille" brings a suggestive and ancient atmosphere.
The instrumental inauguration (with the organ completed of all the registers) and the Cycle of concerts devoted to the European Music is foreseen for 2009. Bartholomeo Formentelli, so much nervous for the imminence of the important event how much relaxed and satisfied for the success of the concert later it is return back in Rieti on December 28, to bring his masterpiece to conclusion. All we are curious to listen to the two files of Bombards 16' and the complete stuffing, the Grand Jeu with the Cornets (total of 3, on the GO, Positivo and Resonance) and the keyboards of Recit and Echo. Marc Pinardel has appreciated a lot of the Dom Bedos: during the tests, he has improvised in nineteenth-century style emulating of growing and decreasing almost had a "variatore"... porting the Dom Bedos Organo to XIX century ...

2 December : Benedetto XVI stemma for on the central tower, and the five great pipes of Montre 32 are finally arrived in Rieti.

7 November 2008 : we are waiting for the final parts, that will arrive arrive in Rieti on 1° December. The latest parts are 4 big flower vases to be posed on the organ towers.

16 June : First Truck arrival in Rieti ; after 4 years-works, the first large truck finally have a destination. Tomorrow, the 60% of organ material will be delivered on San Domenico Church. The organ building will start next week; overall assembly will require 3 months.

The On Factory Works are just finished! The Organ Works in Rieti will start on the first weeks of June, 2008.

Baldini Grup Organ Base donation
Thanks to Mr Baldini Grup, a Strong Organ Base is builded on Baldini Factory. The Organ Base is really important: it must support Organ Weight (about 20.000 kg) and it must distribute the weight over the floor, in order to avoid floor sinking. Another important goal is the thermak insulation; due to all-under floor heating system, the organ should be damaged by heat accumulation under it. The base provide a fan system, in to take away the heat and mantain the organ lower parts at the same environment temperature. The base photo is here

San Domenico Church Roof Manteinance
The new San Domenico Church roof structure needs for ordinary manteinance operations. The difficult is to operate at 19 meters from the floor.

Meeting Committee-Governement
S. Domenico Commitee was received from Italian Learning & Culture departments; during these meetings, we have shown the Dom Bedos Project, the Status and the main finality to the Autorities, in order to obtain their official acknowledgemets. The meetings was really good for us and we have obtained various tips and ways to develop our goals.

When the Organ will arrive in Rieti ?
Today (January, 2008) Mr. Formentelli is under heavy duty to finish the Great Organ in his Factory; Due to large amount of Sculptures, the works are really long and difficult. The Organ should be in Rieti in April ; the on-site assembly will require 3-5 months.

29 December 2007 - Christmas Concert on San Domenico Church
A large audience has been present to Christmas Concert 2007; the concert was held by Aurora Salutis Chorus, directed by Alessandro Nisio. So, the harpsichord and Positiv arrival in Rieti has a good celebration; A 350° birthday of the reatin musician Giuseppe Ottavio Pitoni was celebrated, too.

14 December 2007 - Saint Chiara Church Concert & Book Presentations
S. Domenico Committe had "sponsorized" a book about a Italian "Abruzzese" Ancient Organ Builder family, Fedeli. This family has some hirs in Rieti, named "Fedri". Many Rieti's ancient Organs was builded from Fedeli's family. The book was realized from Prof. Giovanni di Leonardo. After Presentation, a Concert for Christmas was held : Organ, Tenor & Sopran played some classical Christmas music and song; audience was really large. Thansk to musicians Aguzzi Giuliano & Marianovella Puglisi, and to Organist Ruggero Russi. The organ was a beatiful Fedeli. See here for Organ details.

2 December 2007 - The "Positiv" is now in Rieti!
This Christmas will be more happy, having a part of our great Organ in Rieti. The "Positive Organ" is now installed on San Domenico Church, ready to be shown to the people. Many Rieti's citizen, associations and private give us a contribution; due to work delay, we need to pospose the Organ arrive in Rieti many times. Now finally you can see the finest level of this job. A air pump (Mantice) is just arrived and is posed near the Positive Organ. A 2-Keyboard harpsichord is arrived, too. This is the second one harpsichord in Rieti Municipality and it can be observed on our Church; ti will be posed for any activity of our Musical Dom Bedos Studies Center.

The Organ Works are delayed
Due to great work complexity , the Organ arrival in Rieti is delayed. The Organ Builder ask us another 66 working days. Some founds delays give us another issue in order to have the organ in Rieti. So, for Christmas 2007, we will have only a part of the instrument. Probably we can have the "Positivo" , to organize a exhibition on our Church. A Check visit to Organ Builder will be held as soon as possible. Finally, the Inauguration Concerts should be expected for 2008 year. Before to do it, a time is needed (some months) in order to allow a good Organ adaptation to Church environment.

July, 2007 : he first Rieti Hystorical Organ schedule was held!
Thank to Paolo Peretti Expert precious help, a great work was performed on July. A deep Hystorical Rieti Organs examination was performed. All the Ancient Rieti's Town centre Organs was visited and checked, in order to verify the conditions, the conservation status ans all the details. The activity purpose is to discovery the great level of these lost memory jewels. Many instrument was builded on XVIII century. More than 14 Organs was checked during this activity. 14 April, 2007 : International Meeting in Verona,
IV° Working step
The IV° working step was shown to Rieti's autorithies, experts, musicians and enthusiast, during a one-day workshop. The musical day was issued on Formentelli's atelier in Verona (Italy).

Christmas Concert in San Domenico Church, Rieti 18, December 2006
The Rieti musical ensemble "Aurora Salutis", to remember the Lorenzo Perosi century birthday has organized a concert. The ensemble is directed by M° Alessandro Nisio. The Concert program was about 900th author Lorenzo Perosi; many peoples are present to appreciate the concert. During the break, a Dom Bedos Organ Presentation on DVD was held by Tigli Filippo, San Domenico Committe technical organ expert.

III° Working Step - September 2006
During this visit in Verona,some Rieti and Provence autorithies was present, to see and check the Organ Work progress. The Organ works are about at 75% of the whole work. Formentelli and his son was present to explain the great activities.

After contract definition, some financial founds are arrived. So, the Organ works are started in April, 2004. The whole time is about 46 months. The initial work are checked and approved by Committe Members in Verona.
