A Dream Day.. 
Visiting Formentelli's Organ Factory in Pedemonte (Verona , Italy)

Great! During first 2001  months , I start to make real my old dream : have a Formentelli organ on my town. New facts are : place available and new love for art and music masterpieces. Last year,  great S. Domenico historical Church in Rieti,  60 meters lenght , 1200th age , is gived to people after 110 years of ruine. Another fact : "effects" of first concert from O.Latry on Formentelli in Rome S.M. degli Angeli.  So, musicians and experts in Rieti start to working to have  new Formentelli organ  in s.Domenico  ..no compromise.. Committe want an original mechanical organ directly from '700th age.  Only Bartolomeo Formentelli was able to make it...

The "official Promoters Committe"  organized a "job"  travel on  Formetelli Factory (Pedemonte, Verona)  in March, 2001. Formentelli is a great courtesy person and he allows us to complete lab visiting on the morning, and some organ visit , "live tests" during  afternoon. We have the great pleasure to lunch with Formentelli Family between these events

B. Formentelli (and me) now starting with new ideas for Rieti Great  Organ.. a 4 keyboard '700 pure french  style organ with many italian stops...
Michel Formentelli (Major son) is showing us original "Sacre Papers" in which  '700 art is explained from "how to build the wood boxes " downto to "fine ancillary parts" ....
B.Formentelli shows us a restored  Positive Organ (for sale!!! If you have 45.000$. you can buy it now) , toscan origin , '700 age..
And now.. on this organ  W.A. Mozart played! S.Tommaso Cantoriense Restoration is now in progress. This is rare (it seems unique) example of ancent reed in different sections.
This is a reed complete rebuild from ancent one.. only few pipes are alive today...so, Formentelli rebuild it in this manner.. . see the  "tuning tool"and wood block to mantain fix reed to base. Stain is hand-hammer finished.
